Hello friends! Thanks for turning in here. This is where we come to gain understanding of the things to put in place and proper perspective to enjoy the glorious life Father GOD has for us. Please do ensure you put in your comments. I would love to read your thoughts too.

How are you though? I trust you have been doing great and holding out well by following the rules of handwashing, social(physical) distancing and wearing of face masks in addition to other required safety procedures as is stipulated in your country? These are very different times and mindsets and ways have been shifted by reason of the effect of the Corona Virus pandemic ravaging the countries of the world. There is no time that depicts the popular saying ‘change is the only constant’ more than now. Countries have changed, people have changed and economies are changing. We are in a time never seen nor experienced before. In it all, I am glad that GOD is still in charge of our lives and indeed on top of all things. I pray He will continue to keep you and all yours dear friend. I pray we all will receive the mercy of GOD to navigate this season upon us successfully and safely Amen.

This morning during my personal prayer and study time, I read the scripture in Matthew 14:13-21 and I thought I would share my takeouts from it for today’s blogpost. Please proceed to read the said scripture:

Matthew 14:13-21 New International Version (NIV)

Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand

13 When Jesus heard what had happened, he withdrew by boat privately to a solitary place. Hearing of this, the crowds followed him on foot from the towns. 14 When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick.15 As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food.”16 Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”17 “We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered.18 “Bring them here to me,” he said. 19 And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. 20 They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. 21 The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children.

Here are my takeouts which I believe will be helpful to you dear friend. I would love to read your thoughts too in the comments section as I would love to glean from your understanding, inspiration and perspective:

JESUS drew a following even when he was grieving and had suffered a loss. The crowd didn’t know what his personal problem was but they gravitated towards Him and when He saw them, He was not irritated by them despite his own current state of mind but was moved with compassion for them. I believe you do have your circle of influence who look up to you for counsel, guidance, light and direction, starting from your family to even others unknown, do not fail them this season. Someone is waiting for a word from you, a smile and a pat on the back! Another needs counsel from you as you are the appointed one by GOD to fill that space in their lives. Despite your own challenges, do not fail to turn to them in compassion in whatever little way you can. JESUS showed compassion to the people and healed their sick! Let your compassion for your circle of influence move you to solve their problems now and post-covid to the best of your ability. Do not wait for them to ask, discern their needs and give the solution as given you already by GOD. Send a word of encouragement to one who needs it and make yourself present in their lives. Do not refuse to give of yourself to those who need you! 1

The disciples of JESUS wanted Him to send the people away so they could fend for themselves but it is instructive to note that JESUS didn’t share their perspective but showed them a better way! He expanded the minds of the disciples hence dear friend, this season, do not call a conspiracy what others call a conspiracy. Though we are in difficult times, there are solutions all around us! See as JESUS sees! Do as He does! Whatever little resource you have, always lift it up to GOD and give thanks to GOD for it and watch GOD multiply it for you. My prayer for you and I dear friend is that this season, we will always see the better way, the solution and light at the end of any tunnel of life in the name of JESUS CHRIST Amen.

This season dear friend, let us learn to take responsibility! Let us not approach this season with the ‘me, myself and I’ attitude. Let us take responsibility and look out for one another. Like the good book enjoins us, let us be our brother’s keeper!

Five loaves and two fish was multiplied supernaturally and it fed over five thousand people! Just try and envision this miracle. Remember, we have been empowered by the LORD JESUS Himself to do greater works than He did while alive (John 14:12). Dear friend, trust GOD for a multiplication of your resources, trust Him for an expansion of your influence and reach! Hey! When men are saying there is a casting down due to the effects of the corona virus, then shall you say there is a lifting for you as you do not need to operate by the economy of the world but by the kind of supernatural economy seen in the scripture shared above. ‘Let this mind be in you as it was in Christ!’

When I referred to resources above, I wasn’t referring to only financial resources. Think about the wisdom, knowledge and know-how of doing things in this new season that has come upon us; think about having a renewed, expanded and open mind to accomplish great things in a new way; think about increase in capacity and then go back to read this blog post again and I am sure the coin will drop for you in varying ways.

I toast to your well being and a thriving new season! I love and honour you!
