A blessed new day to all mums, dads and all lovers of the girl child and the female folk. To GOD be the glory for this privilege to be able to return to this assignment, praying for our daughters every Thursday. Going forward by the grace of GOD, we will be dedicating times of prayers to lift up the girl child, lady, or woman as the case may be.
By His grace and help, we will be kicking off this series by taking a few lessons from the life of Ruth the Moabitess, a progenitor of our LORD JESUS CHRIST. The account of her journey on earth is chronicled in the book of the bible named after her, which is the 8th book of the bible in the old testament and because the number 8 signifies NEW BEGINNINGS, we pray a new beginning in GOD for all our girls today in JESUS’ name-Amen. GOD who rewrote the testimony and life plan of Ruth for His glory and the accomplishment of His purpose will do same in the lives of our girls in JESUS’ name-Amen. May the LORD open the eyes of our understanding to see what He will be teaching us to pray for our daughters today and always in JESUS’ name-Amen!
I encourage every mother, father, mother-to-be, father-to-be, mother-in-law, mother-in-law to-be, father-in-law, father-in-law to-be, EVERYONE; to sow this seed of prayer today for our girls and daughters. I encourage every girl to also pray this prayer for themselves. The bible says that the EFFECTUAL, FERVENT PRAYERS OF THE RIGHTEOUS AVAILS MUCH! The place of prayer is the place of instruction and guidance! We can make our daughters’ lives be a reflection of the plans, purposes and glory of GOD. Let’s get to our duty posts with the Holy Spirit! May the LORD hear and answer us-Amen!
LESSONS FROM THE LIFE OF RUTH-PART 1.
In Ruth Chapter 1, we see the narration of the life and experience of Naomi up until she was to return back home after sojourning in another land and with nothing but misfortune to show for her effort and in verse 16-17, we see Ruth making a rather hard plea:
“But Ruth said:
Entreat me not to leave you,
Or to turn back from following after you;
For wherever you go, I will go;
And wherever you lodge, I will lodge;
Your people shall be my people,
And your GOD, my GOD.
Where you die, I will die,
And there will I be buried.
The LORD do so to me, and more also,
If anything but death parts you and me.
This is the statement of one who saw beyond her surrounding physical problems/challenges. Ruth though from a pagan land and background, had a discerning spirit working in her, perhaps because GOD chose her, somehow, she was helped not to be superficial but to see deep into the future. Ruth had a tenacious spirit and she displayed a high sense of loyalty.
LET US PRAY:
• That irrespective of whatever may be a militating factor against our daughters, GOD would still have mercy on them and make them chosen by Him.
• I Cor 12:10c says
“to another (is given) the discerning of spirits”
LET US PRAY :
• That our girls will be rightly and deeply discerning of situations and circumstances and of people.
• That they will not be superficial but able to recognise destiny relationships and stay committed to it until results are attained even if the destiny partner doesn’t “seem” to have potential in the physical.
• That they won’t give up along the journey of destiny like Orpah.
• That they will receive the grace of tenacity especially as it concerns destiny fulfilment.
• That they will be loyal to destiny and any cause they believe in even in the face of adversity and challenges.
Without a doubt, Ruth was a woman greatly helped by GOD else how do you describe GOD changing her lineage of idolatry and GRAFTING her into the lineage of divinity, the family that brought salvation to mankind?
LET US PRAY :
• That it would please GOD to establish the thrones, seats and homes of our daughters in Godly lineages and families.
• That whatever is required of GOD to establish the destinies and homes of our girls in Godly lineages, we give Him permission to do, especially as it concerns their life journeys.
• That GOD will help our daughters beyond themselves as He did with Ruth.
GOD bless all our efforts in the prayer closet and as we war for the destiny fulfillment of these daughters of Zion, may we all have a good reward for our labours over them-Amen!
Here’s to a beautiful day ahead. I love and honour you all!
