FAST FRIDAY FOR FIRSTBORNS
FRIDAY 5TH FEBRUARY 2021
THEME: CAUSE MY FIRSTBORN TO WALK IN WISDOM CIRCLES O LORD
TEXT: PROVERBS 13:20
“He who walks with wise men will be wise,
But the companion of fools will be destroyed.”
Beautifully blessed day beloved mums, dads and parent-intercessors. Welcome to the first Friday in February 2021 and our fourth corporate Fast Friday in the year. We give GOD thanks for bringing us to the second month of the year and thank Him for the beauty of life and relationships.
Scripture says in Ecclesiastes 4:9 “Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.” Indeed, when our children have the gift of good, wisdom-filled, God-fearing people surrounding them and walking the journey of life together with them, they are able to make good choices, progress in life and advance the Kingdom of GOD here on earth.
Today, as we seek the LORD with fasting and prayers, let us meditate on these scriptures and be activated to pray:
Ephesians 5:15 AMP
“Therefore see that you walk carefully [living life with honor, purpose, and courage; shunning those who tolerate and enable evil], not as the unwise, but as wise [sensible, intelligent, discerning people],“
Isaiah 2:2-3 AMP
“Now it will come to pass that In the last days. The mountain of the house of the Lord Will be [firmly] established as the highest of the mountains, And will be exalted above the hills; And all the nations will stream to it. And many peoples shall come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord , To the house (temple) of the God of Jacob; That He may teach us His ways And that we may walk in His paths.” For the law will go out from Zion And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.”
Colossians 4:5-6
“Conduct yourself with wisdom in your interactions with outsiders (non-believers), make the most of each opportunity [treating it as something precious]. Let your speech at all times be gracious and pleasant, seasoned with salt, so that you will know how to answer each one [who questions you].”
Proverbs 28:26 AMP
“He who trusts confidently in his own heart is a [dull, thickheaded] fool, But he who walks in [skillful and godly] wisdom will be rescued.”

Having meditated on these scriptures, let us pray:
• Father, guide the steps of my firstborn to walk in the circle of wise people. Cause him(her) to always be guided into the company of the wise.
• LORD, cause my firstborn and by extension my other children to walk carefully, living life with honor, purpose, and courage; let my children shun as friends or life companions those who tolerate and enable evil. May my firstborn deal not as the unwise, but as a wise, sensible, intelligent, and discerning person in the name of JESUS CHRIST Amen.
• GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, today as I wait on You with fasting and prayers, I ask that You teach my firstborn and by extension my other children Your ways. Help them LORD that they may walk in Your paths all the days of their lives, cause Your guiding light to shine and brightly illuminate their life pathways in the name of JESUS CHRIST Amen.
• Father, please help my firstborn to conduct him(her)self with wisdom in every interaction with others. Cause the speech of my firstborn to at all times be gracious and pleasant, seasoned with salt, bringing encouragement and life to others around them.
• Father, there is skillful and Godly wisdom available in You, please pour it out upon my firstborns and by extension my other children. Let this wisdom permeate every area of their lives and existence in the name of JESUS CHRIST. Let them walk circumspectly in it Amen.
• LORD, help my firstborn to walk carefully, living life with honor, purpose, and courage; let my firstborn have the wisdom and common sense to shun and avoid walking with those who tolerate and enable evil, not as the unwise, but as wise sensible, intelligent, discerning ones in the name of JESUS CHRIST Amen.

Let us pray these prayers and more that the Holy Spirit will highlight for us in the language of the Spirit and also in our understanding.
May grace and strength be multiplied to us all too as we wait on the LORD seeking His face for our children. As we pray for wisdom circles for our children, may we also be found in and always surrounded by men of wisdom in the name of JESUS CHRIST. As we lift up GOD’s heritage, may we also be of wisdom company so we may guide and parent them with wisdom too in the name of JESUS CHRIST Amen.
