Hi friends! Thanks for turning in here! This is where we come to gain understanding of the things we need to put in place and in proper perspective to enjoy the glorious life Father GOD has for us. Please do ensure you put in your comments. I would love to read your thoughts too.
Today, Father GOD would want to reiterate to you and I to keep things simple as we progress on in the year. On the 31st day of December 2020, this was the word the LORD reiterated as my community of mothers and I gathered before the Father to close the year and receive instruction to chart the course of the present year 2021. Many times as human beings, we have a propensity to complicate matters that ought to be simply handled. Many times,we don’t believe when things/solutions/ideas/people, etc bring simple solutions, we are conditioned to think that things/situations/opportunities/circumstances, etc have to be complicated or difficult to access.
Friends, do you remember Naaman in the bible? Well, if you don’t, let me give you a brief overview. Naaman was a General in the Syrian army, an obviously highly skilled and good-hearted person. Highly respected, yet he had a “but” in his life! He was plagued with leprosy! Here is how scripture introduced him in 2 Kings 5:1 “Now Naaman, commander of the army of the king of Syria, was a great and honorable man in the eyes of his master, because by him the Lord had given victory to Syria. He was also a mighty man of valor, but a leper.” His full story is highlighted in the referenced chapter of scripture.
I imagine that Naaman would have sought many expensive solutions, spent a lot of money, gotten into the hands of opportunists and taken advantage of by scammers and yet his problem persisted. So imagine his conditioned indignation when the man of GOD asked him to simply go wash in Jordan River! He was full of doubt and derision and was to have discarded that instruction but for the saving grace of well meaning servants who gave him right counsel to reconsider the simple instruction. To him, that solution was too simple a process to engage to rid him of his persistent and disgraceful ailment. Yet, when he obeyed the instruction and engaged this simple process, he got his unbelievable healing!
Child of GOD! Right here is GOD’s word to you and I today, the Spirit says #KeepItSimple! Things don’t have to be difficult! Life doesn’t have to be complicated! You don’t need a million dollars to start that business venture! Start from where you are and with what you have! The other day, I needed to record some videos and I really desired to have a professional video done but my finances couldn’t accommodate the cost in my present circumstances and while in the place of prayer, the Holy Spirit showed me a simple way that would get the same thing done-a zoom recording of the same intent and guess what? It wasn’t a bad output, I was very proud of the end result! What did keeping it simple do for me? I didn’t owe a dime for that project, I got the work done on my own terms and schedule and in record time and I realised that simplicity and not over-thinking the process worked for me! I am looking forward to getting all my other videos done and completing my project.
Dear friend, what do you need to simplify in your life? Please take a second look today and activate simple mode! Keeping it Simple for someone could mean you cutting down on unnecessary expenses. It could mean for another, decluttering your home or space. For yet another, keeping it simple may just be in regards to you letting go of limiting beliefs and just being open to explore new ways and uncharted courses. Whatever your simple is, engage it today and work it till it produces for you! This is what I intend to do until my video recording work is done and the project for which the videos are meant for is concluded and released! Naaman’s instruction was to wash himself 7times in the river Jordan. Simply that! Nothing more! Nothing less! He didn’t have to go to the mountain to shout, he didn’t have to drink any concoction neither was he required to do anything extra outside of his simple instruction, in fact, this simple solution did not cost Naaman anything other than him journeying to Israel to meet with the prophet because even after his healing, the prophet did not take anything from him when he wanted to show his appreciation. Nothing extra! As at the 6th dip, nothing had happened yet and it was only on the 7th count that he came out with his healing, his skin restored like that of a new born! Glory to GOD! I hope this encourages you dear friend to know that as you work with and engage your simple instruction, your desired outcome is sure.
My prayer for you and I is that all our days, we will not deride our simple processes and journeys but we will see them, understand them, work them and benefit from taking the simplicity route.
