FAST FRIDAY FOR FIRSTBORNS

THEME: FATHER CAUSE MY FIRSTBORN TO SHINE AS LIGHT O LORD
TEXT: JOHN 8:12
“Again JESUS spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
Beautifully blessed day beloved mums, dads and parent-intercessors. Welcome to the second Friday in February 2021 and our fifth corporate Fast Friday in the year. We give GOD thanks for bringing us to and continuing to preserve us in the second month of the year and we also thank Him for the privilege given us and our children to be shining lights to our world. Halleluyah!
Today, we shall be asking Father GOD to aid our firstborns and by extension our other children to shine as the Light that He says they are.
We shall be meditating on the scriptures below and will be praying thereafter:
1 Peter 2:9
“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”
Ephesians 5:8
“For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the LORD. Walk as children of light.”
John 1:5
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
Psalm 27:1
“The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”
Isaiah 60:1
“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.”
Proverbs 4:18
“But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day.”
Matthew 13:43
“Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.”
Job 11:17
“And your life will be brighter than the noonday; its darkness will be like the morning.”
Numbers 6:25
“The LORD make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;”
Having meditated on these scriptures, let us pray:
● Father, cause my firstborn to be a true and ardent follower of Your Son our LORD JESUS CHRIST so that he(she) may walk in the light of life all his(her) days Amen.
● Father, because Your Son is the light of the world and my firstborn belongs to You as Your set apart and consecrated one, let him(her) also be a light to his(her) world. As he(she) follows JESUS, let his(her) light shine in this dying world Amen.
● Father, thank You for causing my firstborn to be a part of Your chosen race. Thank You for bestowing on him(her) royal priesthood status. Cause the light of my firstborn to proclaim Your excellencies and greatness. Cause my firstborn’s light to be a shining, liberating light unto others, bringing them from darkness, obscurity and ignorance into the light of GOD in the name of JESUS CHRIST Amen.
● Father, I ask today that my firstborn and by extension my other children will always walk as children of light. I ask dear LORD that they will never again grope or wallow in darkness in the course of their lives and destiny journeys in the name of JESUS CHRIST Amen.
● LORD let my firstborn’s light outshine darkness always. Grant grace, strength and empowerment for his(her) light to shine and always overcome darkness triumphantly at every occasion in the name of JESUS CHRIST-Amen.
● Father, be the light and salvation of my firstborn and by extension my other children. LORD, be the stronghold of the life of this Your son(daughter). Cause him(her) to receive courage and boldness. Be his(her) stronghold against fear in the name of JESUS CHRIST Amen.
● Father, I speak forth and command the destiny and light of my firstborn to arise and shine in the name of JESUS CHRIST! I decree and declare that his(her) light is come and GOD’s glory has risen upon him(her) Amen.
● LORD, I declare over my firstborn and by extension my other children, their paths are lighted up like the light of dawn! Their light shine brighter and brighter as until the full day in the name of JESUS CHRIST Amen!
● Father, I speak forth and declare my children’s shining. Their lights and paths shine like the sun. In the Kingdom of GOD, their light will be relevant as it shines for others to be guided in the name of JESUS CHRIST Amen.
● Father I thank You for Your promise according to Job 11:17. Thank You that my firstborn’s life and destiny will be brighter than the noonday, thank You that his(her) darkness will be like the morning. Thank You because darkness cannot comprehend his(her) light! Thank You that darkness has no place in his(her) life and destiny journey in the name of JESUS CHRIST. Amen.
Blessings beloved parent-intercessors. Thank you and well done for reporting at your duty post of fasting and prayer today. May GOD’s word in Numbers 6:25 have full expression in our children’s lives. The LORD make His face to shine upon our firstborns and by extension our other children and may He be gracious unto them as a result of their shining light in the name of JESUS CHRIST Amen and Amen.
